Is the music dead?

Is the music dead

or simply quiet?

Has inspiration left

or is it just still?

Internal conflict

Or lack of interest?

Undigested pain

Or focus lost?

The creative soul

Enters dryness

But not darkness

A new frontier

The wasteland wanderer

Lost in the empty

Is seeking a

jungle of inspiration

To hope again

To dream again

To sing again

Maybe even, to write again

When one’s soul connects primarily through music

The silence inside can be deafening

Lack of emotion when listening is so troubling

Yet when you feel, even if only briefly

Hope is offered & the future, seems brighter

  1. I know the feeling Chris. Hang in there. Sometimes fresh new bouts of inspiration come after a time dryness. It’s happened to me.
