The Joys of Adulthood

Oh the joys of adulthood

Countless hours slaving for others, but always for reward

Living now in the freedom we once craved in our youth

And the things, the things we get to work for …

Instruments of expression

Trips filled with excitement

Immaculate collections of art

Oh what?

I’m sorry, did you say the washing machine was broken?

It costs how much to repair?

But, but …….

Eleven years is good service I suppose

It appears to be time to usher in a new era

In the meantime, let’s celebrate being broke

By not having clean clothes for a few days

  1. I love your sense of humor 🙂 I was invited to participate in a blog hop and wanted to see if you were interested in participating. I really enjoy your writing and would love for you to take part in it. You have to share a little about your writing, and then invite 3 other bloggers to do the same. No pressure, just wanted you to know that I really enjoy your blog and I would love to have you participate 🙂

      1. Awesome 🙂 Thank you for reading mine, as well! It is always nice to have supportive blogger friends! I will post this coming Monday with an intro to your blog (and two others) and answer a few questions about my writing. You invite 3 other bloggers to do the same and you post sometime the first week of Aug (2 wks) You can answer the same questions I do on Monday, or you can tailor them to suit your own blog if needed…then you intro 3 others in the same post. I agreed to do it because I really enjoy the “community” of blogging and finding new ones to follow. Thank you so much for participating 🙂

    1. I am just so grateful to be in a position to repair or replace broken stuff. My broken washing machine has been a surprisingly glass half full experience 🙂

Thank you for reading & sharing!!
