Metamorphosis, the life of a redeemed man of God
The process of changing from what the world told us we should be
Into who God says that we really are
The growing pains
The frustrations
The disappointment when old habits take over new desires
When you become the hypocrisy that you despise
Those moments when all seems dark
Yet you see the light at the end of the tunnel
You move towards it, slowly, awkwardly
Your cocoon is very real
However it is not a place of hiding
It is a public display of your struggles
As you begin to shed the shell of transformation
You begin to realize just how different you are
You are not perfect
You may not be fully “fixed”
But your heart is pure
Your desire unquestionable
Give me more of you oh God
More of you and less of me
That I might become more like you
Make me the me, that You see in me
Not for me, but for Your glory, to benefit Your Kingdom
I would like to say I love your blog and the wonderful and beautiful things you share as well as the inspiration and smiles you bring in doing so! Thank you for being you and I hope even if you do not accept awards you will accept the sentiment expressed as I honor you with one. There is no prize that comes with the award other than my appreciation and being grateful you are part of our world and making a difference by sharing in such a positive way…
I have posted the award and link to it here I hope you will accept it or at least the sentiment behind it! http://artisticlyxpressedthoughts.wordpress.com/2014/03/27/awards-and-shared-gifts/
With love,
Joe
Thank you so much for the kind words! While I don’t really do blog awards (I have a hard enough time making time to blog), I greatly appreciate the sentiment and truly appreciate you nominating me! Thank you again Joe 🙂
