As we stumble through life

Convinced that the universe should revolve around us

Every once in a while you remember

We are all but extras in the grand picture of life

Take a walk through your neighborhood

Through your town or your city

Think about every life

Behind every door that you pass

All these unique individuals

Who are living life with the same belief

That life should revolve around them

Then it hits you, its can’t revolve around them

Yet if it can’t revolve around them

How can it revolve around you?

And so there you are, awakened

So if it’s not about me, or about them, then it must be about You
