Not everyone is on this journey

One of life’s many great challenges
Something I have yet to fully grasp
Is folks have their own choices to make

They can be who they want to be
They don’t have to be good
They don’t have to be nice

They don’t even have to care
Or want to be any different
When you don’t want to be like them

You have to learn to be yourself
Even though they may not like it
You may stumble & fail at times, but fight the fight

Carry on until one day
Even if everyone else stays the same
You have become who you wanted to be all along
