What is to come

As I said yesterday, I have just returned from a week-long vacation, a 7 night Western Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Magic. I had a long overdue rest, some great family time & some amazing experiences. When packing I decided to take a notepad & a pen with me, anticipating much poetic inspiration, possibly some great revelation of the future from God, or at least some ideas of things to write about.

My writings quickly evolved into a vacation journal, with some additional thoughts & a disappointingly small amount of poetry (I think I was too busy with long form writing).  Thinking over what to do with this journal & notes I have decided to “press” the majority of it, that way it doesn’t become just lost words on a notepad in a closet. As I transcribe and edit it, I figure that I will learn things about myself as I do this but also, the journal at least, might make for interesting reading, especially if you are considering a cruise in the future.

Incidentally, the journal began before I got to the cruise section of A supposedly fun thing…, however having read that somehow made me more inclined to share my vacation experience. So I guess this is a sort of sneak peak, or heads up, of what is to come.
