What does it mean that we have returned here

To the place of darkness

To the origin of pain

 

What does it mean that I am staring at you

Facing your repugnant stare

Defying your orders?

You despicable beast

You father of lies & evil

 

I am not here to see you

I am here carrying the torch

I walk with the light of Christ

 

The reason for the return to the darkness

It is not to acknowledge you

It is not to empower you

Is to shine the light

To see who & what is left

 

We are on a rescue mission

to free long forgotten prisoners

Releasing the captives of the past

 

There is no fear of the darkness this time

Because of the light

We are here to save & to restore

 

We are here to find what was left

We are here to heal the remnants

We walk together – Jesus & I

 

His power in me

The overcoming force of good

The victory already won
